Updates on the campaign to rescue and relocate two Boeing 737-200 in Perth Western Australia

Into The Hold

Tuesday, January 24, 2017

Today we visited the aircraft as the new owners.

We got close up for a good look around both aircraft, I managed to climb into the hold and investigate the contents. The paperwork stored inside was colossal, there will be a minefield of history to go through, some light reading for the evenings.

Our first problem will be the Bees that have built a comfortable home in the tail section of both aircraft. Although I was only stung once they are not a happy hive. Does anyone know of an apiarist who would be willing to remove them? We really don't want to kill them.

Hopefully we can go into the cabin our next visit. We just need those steps...

They're Ours!

Tuesday, January 17, 2017
We are now the official owners of the two Boeing 737-200 aircraft.
Today sees the final signed documentation arrive for transfer of ownership. All of our thoughts and ideas are now a possible reality, not sure if I am excited or scared! At last we can begin the journey, first up will be a look inside. We need to get some access steps organised and make a date with the airport staff and security. I am still waiting on my ASIC and airside driving permits to come through so for now we will be escorted to and from the aircraft.
